Casual Agenda, are an indie rock ‘n’ roll trio from Walsall, who have similar music vibes to late 80s and early 90s bands such as The Stone Roses, The Smiths and The Jam- Writes Isabelle Pollock. Having previously seen them perform in March at JJM Studios, Walsall and in June at The Shed, Leicester. They are a lovely group of talented lads and who have a bright future ahead of them. They have performed around U.K and Ireland and have more dates confirmed over the next few months including Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Birmingham and have recently gained a bigger audience in Northern cities such as Sheffield and Rotherham. Listen to Your Souvenir below.

I managed to catch up with the lads from Casual Agenda to ask about how the band started, their music influences and more!
Tell us bit about yourselves…How long have you been together? And how did you come up with name of the band?
Technically 5 years, 3 years in current lineup. 3 scallys from Brownhills, an area of Walsall (west mids) Ped (vocals/guitar) Dan (drums) and Joe (Bass)
Joe came up with the name, it was a toss up between that and The Trip.
What made you decide to want to be in a band and create your own music?
Music’s always been in my blood. One day I just decided to start writing some tunes, had some spare time on my hands, the rest’s history! There was no band at that time, but everything unravelled from there really. We’re lucky at our age that everyone one has the same goal and interest. No body else could be arsed to learn an instrument, but that’s all changing now, they’re everywhere. When we first started there were no other indie rock bands around, we were always on lineups with metal bands, and an acoustic kid! I just hope the powers that be take note and take a punt on bands again and NOT fuckin reunion tours! Where’s the future going to go? I’ll tell you. Fuckin nowhere! There are some quality bands around at the minute.
What music inspires the band?
Indie mainly, rock n roll, bit of blues, bit of dance. Anything that’s good.
What has been your favourite venue to play at so far?
Night and Day – Manchester Whelans in Dublin was pretty cool.
If there was one music artist/band you could go on tour with, who would it be?
Kasabian – I just think they’re genuine lads, not phased by their success. From the midlands int they? ?
Do you have any gigs coming up soon?
Yeah playing tramlines today in Sheffield. Northallerton, Great Northern fest in Bedale, Goose Green fest in Manchester all next month. There are stacks, all on our website at casualagenda.com ?
And what would you say to you fans who come to your gigs and buy your music?
Nice one, we’ll get to each and every one of you to play a gig in your living room! Tell your mates about us ? (but not if they’re into drake)
