Folk singer-songwriter Rachael Sage reveals a new, dark yet ethereal video to her track ‘Deepest Dark’.

Taken off of her latest 14-track album ‘The Other Side’, ‘Deepest Dark’ shot in the atmospheric setting of London’s historic Asylum Chapel. The video captures Sage seated at an upright piano, enveloped in ethereal light streaming through stained glass windows. Against the backdrop of the chapel’s weathered beauty, Sage delivers a powerful performance, her music dances within the shadows of this beautiful building.

Reflecting on the song’s origins, Sage shares, “It was such a moving experience because it’s a song I wrote as a teenager about friendship. It came to mean so much more when I decided to finally include it on my current album, ‘The Other Side’, which is about transcendence.” Inspired by the camaraderie depicted in Stranger Things, Sage infuses the track with a tribute to the show’s characters, capturing the essence of their unwavering bonds amidst otherworldly challenges.

With a career spanning over two decades, Sage has established herself as a prolific artist with a diverse musical catalogue. From sharing stages with luminaries like Imelda May and Ani DiFranco to collaborating with Grammy® winners Shawn Colvin and Judy Collins, Sage’s musical journey has been marked by acclaim and accolades. Beyond her music, Sage is also a dedicated advocate for various causes, lending her voice to organisations supporting hunger relief, refugee aid, cancer research, and youth empowerment.

Through her evocative music and philanthropic endeavours, Rachael Sage continues to resonate with audiences worldwide, leaving an indelible mark on both the musical landscape and the world at large.
