Wolf Culture sign to Common Ground Records

Bournemouth band Wolf Culture have announced their signing to Common Ground Records.
As well as announcing their new label the band have released a video for new track Wreck.

You can watch the new video for Wreck below!

Talking about the new track vocalist and guitarist Max Dervan says ‘This track is about having strong insecurities about relationships whilst being in a relationship and the effect it can have on its well-being. I struggle to write songs that sound relatively happy so I compromised on this track by having the musical accompaniment sounding quite positive in comparison to the self-doubting and frankly negative lyrics. The aim was to create something bittersweet that still had a hard-hitting chorus line.’

Wolf Culture will be playing shows later this month.
You can see the band at the following dates:

24th February The Rockhouse Andover
26th February The Anvil Bournemouth

Wolf Culture originated from the seaside town of Bournemouth back in 2015. After meeting in a former band, drummer (Jake Daniels) and guitarist (Jay Dervan) broke off and put their own ideas to good use.

After quickly realising a singer was needed to front the band, the duo pulled in the talents of vocalist; Max Dervan. The band called in some favours and soon recorded a cover in their living room and uploaded it to YouTube. Within weeks their cover of Dial Tones, by Brighton band As It Is, had reached over 20,000 views. The trio soon released their first demo of ‘Overboard’; drawing influences from modern pop-punk, emo and other genres.

After receiving some great local reviews, the band started to see their first show offers coming in. In 2016, the trio was joined by a bassist (Josh Halbert) and launched itself into the scene under the name of Wolf Culture.

The band have since gone on to play shows with the likes of Like Pacific, Trophy Eyes, WSTR, Hawthorne Heights, Milestones, Weatherstate, Fort Hope, Better Than Never and much more.

Stay tuned for exciting news on the horizon, Wolf Culture are certainly a band to keep an eye on.
