Top 5 bands to look out for at Reading & Leeds Festival

For some Reading & Leeds Festival has already started but the music starts this Friday and this year will see some of the biggest names in the world of rock take to the stage. This weekend (25-27 Aug) will see the likes of Kasabian, Eminem and Muse headline the main stage but we’ve come up with a list of bands to look out for during the rest of the weekend.

You Me At Six (Friday at Reading Festival and Saturday at Leeds Festival on NME/ BBC Radio One Stage)

Having released their album Night People this year, You Me At Six are certainly one of the biggest names at the festival. Forming in 2004, the guys have been on touring constantly this year in support of their new album and now they are ready to their performance to the next level at one of the biggest festivals in the world.

Moose Blood (Saturday at Reading Festival and Sunday at Leeds Festival on Main Stage)

Formed in August of 2012, Moose Blood consists of Eddy Brewerton, Mark Osborne, Glenn Harvey and Kyle Todd and are based in Canterbury, Kent. Their newly released album Blush debuted at number 10 on the UK charts. In addition, the album was number 1 on the rock chart, number 2 on the vinyl chart, and number 5 on the independent albums chart. The band have already played at the likes of Austria’s Nova Rocks this year and are set to bring a more chilled atmosphere to the crowd.

WSTR (Friday at Reading Festival and Saturday at Leeds Festival on The Pit/Lock Up)

Fresh from their tour in Australia with Seaway and With Confidence, the Liverpool pop punks are certainly making a name for themselves. They released their debut album Red, Green or Inbetween earlier this year that has been a huge success for the lads. WSTR are well worth a watch and with lead singer Sammy Clifford leading the line for the band, they are set to bring 110% to one of their biggest performances of their career.

Neck Deep (Sunday at Reading Festival and Friday at Leeds Festival on The Pit/Lock Up)

With an average age of just 23, Neck Deep have already become a household name in the world pop punk and rock. They recently just released their album The Peace and The Panic which is on course for a number one in the UK Album Charts. With songs such as In Bloom and of course their classic A Part Of Me, lead singer Ben Barlow and the band are set to rock the hell out of Reading & Leeds Festival.

Boston Manor (Friday at Reading Festival and Saturday at Leeds Festival on The Pit/Lock Up)

Blackpool’s Boston Manor formed in 2013 and, in two short years, worked their way to signing with renowned US indie label Pure Noise Records. With their latest debut album Be Nothing going down a storm, the up and coming band are well worth a watch. Boston Manor have toured and played shows with the likes of Moose Blood and Creeper and are set to put everything they’ve got into this performance.
