Q&A: Allegra Talks ‘Wildfire,’ The Power Of Unity And A Bold New Era

Allegra talks all things ‘Wildfire….’

Can you walk us through the inspiration behind your new single, “Wildfire”?

Wildfire is all about the power of love and unity. I wanted to write something that felt unstoppable, like love spreading through the world at full force. With so much negativity out there, I wanted this song to feel like a burst of hope — a reminder that when we stand together, we’re stronger than anything.

The song is an electrifying dance-pop fusion. With club hits like “Love You Right Back” under your belt, did you aim to recreate that high-energy sound?

Definitely! I love making tracks that you can feel in your bones on the dancefloor. But at the same time, I wanted Wildfire to carry a deeper message while still giving you that energy. I think there’s something really special about blending meaningful lyrics with a beat that makes you want to move.

You co-wrote the song with Tim Gosden and Becky Smith. What did their individual contributions bring to the track?

Tim and Becky are both amazing. Tim always knows how to get the best out of my voice and build a production that feels true to me. Becky has this incredible way of tapping into emotion with her writing — she really helped me shape the lyrics so they’d connect with everyone. It felt like the perfect team to bring Wildfire to life.

Following the release of your debut EP, “Unsent Love Letters Vol. 1,” does “Wildfire” signify the start of a bold new era for you?

I think so! it still feels connected to my last project because of its emotional honesty, but it’s bolder, braver, and bigger in its message. It’s definitely the start of a new chapter for me, and I’m so excited for what’s coming next.

You mentioned that the track celebrates human connection and encourages togetherness. Was this inspired by your personal experiences or is it a general reflection?

Honestly, it was inspired a lot by what’s happening in the world right now. With so much uncertainty, and so much happening globally I wanted to use my voice to create something that could remind people how powerful it is when we come together. It’s a call for unity and love in times when we really need it most.

Do you find it empowering to create and perform such uplifting songs?

Oh, 100%! There’s something amazing about getting on stage or in the studio and pouring positivity into a track. It lifts me up as much as it does the listeners. Seeing people connect with the music and feel stronger or happier because of it is the best feeling ever.

If “Wildfire” was a film, what would the plot involve?

I love this question! I think it would be a story about people from totally different walks of life who somehow find each other and come together to do something incredible — a bit like a modern-day superhero team, but powered by love and kindness rather than superpowers. It would be about how connection can transform the world.

Who are your current musical influences?

I’m hugely inspired by artists like Beyoncé and Tate McRae — I really admire strong women who deliver powerful lyrics and connect with their audience on a deep level. And I have to admit, I’m completely obsessed with ABBA — their melodies are just timeless and infectious, haha!

You’ve been teasing new music for a while — please tell us there’s more to look forward to! What can we expect?

Absolutely! There is so much more on the way. I’m working on a brand-new EP that I can’t say too much about just yet, but it’s going to have a whole new vibe. I’m super excited about it. I shot the music video for the lead single just the other day, so things are moving fast. I promise there’s lots to come, and I can’t wait to share it with you all soon!
