Jo-Jo & The Teeth blend bluesy feels with glam attitude on second single ‘No More Good News’

No More Good News‘ is the second single from Jo-Jo & The Teeth which sees the quintet taking a more melancholy approach, the latest track being born out of mourning the loss of their musical heroes – David Bowie and most predominantly, Tom Petty.

Taken from their forthcoming debut album as the title track, ‘No More Good News‘ travels in a new direction sonically from the bold, anthemic colours found on ‘Don’t Get Too Heavy.’ This time a raw and bewitchingly bleak feeling submerges listeners on ‘No More Good News,’ as vocalist Jojo O’Donoghue works an authentic sincerity into the lyrical delivery over a building beat via signature gravelly tones: “There’s no more songs worth singing, / There’s no more hearts worth breaking, / Feet don’t- No don’t you fail me now. / Yeah- There’s No More Good News.”

Tom Petty‘s album and song ‘Wild Flowers‘ is also referenced – a touching highlight sitting at the track’s core.

No More Good News‘ is a poignant and passionate portion of Glam Blues which nestles its way perfectly into our modern landscape. Ever proving their relevancy and flavourful, stand-out charm as a Glam Rock unit, Jo-Jo & The Teeth have simultaneously managed to embody a beacon of light as they play their way through the shadows – a shower of fiery sparks in dark times.
