Interview: Dean England

So how has your latest album/EP gone so far with fans then?

It’s going down very well. It’s been a great few weeks and am still just warming up.

Tell us something about the release no one knows?

One of the songs Back in Wakey was written the night before I recorded it. It all happened really fast and just flew out of me. Sometimes that’s how it works when I write.

If you could work with any band on a new song, who would it be and why?

I would like to work with The Eagle’s! It would be a pleasure and an amazing moment. Love those guys and their vocal arrangements.

How has your latest release been received?

Well yeah it’s flying at the moment. I have had loads of radio play and it’s building nicely. I was on the radio in LA the other day which is an absolutely amazing feeling when I am sat at home in Wakefield.

Can you tell us about the meaning behind the track?

The EP is out now. It’s all about love and life and it’s full of blues runs and soulful sounding vocals.

What tours do you have coming up, and what can you tell us about them?

Actually this one’s been a bit off a bugger really with everything going on at the moment. I have just had ten shows cancel so we will see what happens with the industry moving forwards.

What venue are you most looking forward to playing the most, and why?

I am hoping to get on at some festivals soon just as soon as this all trims around.

What else can we expect from in 2020?

Well I am currently pushing this EP out as much as possible. And promoting the hell out of it. And that will be me for the next 6 months at least.
