PRESIDENT STREET AND DANNII MINOGUE LEAD AUSTRALIAN RUSH IN POP MUSIC CHARTS

It’s not all bad news in Melbourne. Two Australian pop acts have edged their way into the top five of the Music Week charts with their latest singles – Dannii Minogue with her 2020 version of ‘All I Wanna Do’ and newcomers on the scene, President Street, with ‘Something to Believe’.

The Melbourne-based pop act were forced to change their music video plans when faced with a lockdown in their hometown, instead producing a cracking feat of home footage on an iPhone as their offering of music video.

It’s an impressive feat for this band, who have been releasing a steady stream of singles and gathering popularity with one pop belter after another. Latest single ‘Something to Believe’ is an uplifting track about returning to your authentic self after a period of hardship, and may be exactly what we need to hear during this difficult year.

Vocalist Ruby said, “Having people contact us about the impact our latest song in particular ‘Something to Believe’ has had on them is incredibly inspiring and reaffirming for me. Music was my saviour growing up so that’s been special for me in terms of the songwriting part of our career. To have someone say they connected so deeply with it and that it’s been a cathartic and helpful song for them is just magic!”

Congratulations to President Street for edging your way in next to an absolute icon!
