Neon Dreams’ ‘House Party’: Melancholic and upbeat reflections on growth

The latest single by electro-pop duo Neon Dream is called ‘House Party’ and it’s out now.

Lead singer Kadillac speaks of the inspiration behind the track – “at house parties I’d meet these weird people like me, and we’d have these great conversations,” recalls Kadillac. “I remember having this conversation with a girl about life, and we started joking about hangovers and how much we hate them. She said, ‘hangovers are just borrowing from the happiness of tomorrow, and that’s why the next day always sucks.’ These little things in life can change your perspective, and I have a lot of those. I’ll never forget that moment. House parties are where I started thinking bigger.”

Often introspective, sometimes melancholic, but always with a look towards the positive, Neon Dreams’ music is the sound of a generation doing their best to muddle through what a complicated place the world has become. It’s the sound of a group of people picking themselves up, getting back in the game and partying through whatever life throws at them.
