Interview: Tarah Who?

So how has your latest album/EP gone so far with fans then?

TGC: We recently released a music video for our single “Pantomath” and it tuned out to be a real success! WE are really excited about that!

We are currently in the process of writing a new EP. 🙂

Tell us something about the release no one knows?

TGC: We were really lucky to be able to shoot the day before the official lock down in Los Angeles. There was also a lot of rain at this time, but that day, we had a lot of sun and the whole crew got sunburnt really bad! The first thing I said to the crew at the briefing was” you see the porter potty over there? Don’t steal the toilet paper! “It is not really about the song itself, but about the release of the making of the music video!

If you could work with any band on a new song, who would it be and why?

TGC: I would love to work with YUR MUM from the UK and BALA from Spain. We play different styles of music but in the same vibe. I think that a song with the three of us would be a really interesting violent combo!

How has your latest release been received?

TGC: The EP “64 Women” has had a lot of really good press and “Pantomath” is definitely a hit. I think that the simplicity and aggressiveness of the song makes it a good pop punk type of song that is probably more accessible to a wider audience.

Can you tell us about the meaning behind the track?

TGC: “Pantomath” is about a conversation I had with another fellow musician. We didn’t agree about our perception of success in music. He is an excellent guitar player, but he is really young. He is full of energy, and our conversation basically turned out into a big criticism on his part against other musicians and why people were not doing this or that. My first answer was ” Well, we don’t all want what YOU want! ” Anyway.. he was a know-it all, and I am not a big fan of mansplaining either .. so it motivated me to write a little about this. At the end of the music video, a group of women riders joins me and this was to show women supporting women. As I believe we should, instead of being in competition.

What tours do you have coming up, and what can you tell us about them?

TGC: No Tours at the moment, as Covid is happening. So we will be focusing on media promo, and available on social media for interviews and live shows, or insta-live and what not. Because we are not able to tour, we put out a series of Live performances. We have one song coming out every 2 weeks. Here is “Numb Killer” https://youtu.be/iNvR51_gmjk
And here is an old song called “In a Rush” https://youtu.be/tcMErspjMy8

What venue are you most looking forward to playing the most, and why?

TGC: I am more looking forward to play festivals. In my opinion, the people, the fans, that energy, what makes a show… a SHOW! It is not the stage or the history behind those walls. You can play a famous stage, if the crew, staff or crowd is not cool, it will be a LONG night! You can play a house show, but with really cool people who are really into your music, it will be the BEST night ever! One of my favorite shows was in a strip club!
What else can we expect from in 2020?TGC: A new EP, more videos, and episode 4 of our docu-series! https://youtu.be/4Vi4OT7QdOI
