Single Review: The Covasettes – ‘Be Mine’

Manchester’s based indie band, The Covasettes, are releasing their huge new anthem ‘Be Mine’ on the 24th July 2020.

Being a Manchester-based indie band there is always going to be a certain level of skill and quality expected from you, however, The Covasettes see this level, meet it and sprint right past grinning along with their hugely infectious new track!

From the first grumble of vocals and the beat of the drum, ‘Be Mine’ is everything you want from an indie track and so much more.

‘Be Mine’ sends out such a massive heart-pumping buzz of energy that many bands struggle to even produce when performing live, let alone create on a pre-recorded track.

It bleeds positivity and has you envisioning yourself screaming the lyrics and jumping around with your mates without a care in the world.

For any other Mancunians, it is a classic 42’s banger that gets the whole crowd jumping up and down in time to the huge driving chorus.

Every sound and note punches through the speakers as their rhythmic swagger is embedded into the very bones of the track.

The soaring melody, pounding base and crashing drums all build-in power, skill and strength to have you bopping along in no time.

‘Be Mine’ is an instant indie mood booster, built on dynamics, grit and a gut power that leaves you aching for more.

It is raw, vibrant and I mean it when I say you won’t be able to stop yourself from singing it all day – even if you don’t know the lyrics!
