We managed to catch with Marc as he talked about his latest single and more!

So how has your latest single I’ll Do Anything For You  gone down with fans?

“I’ll Do Anything For You” is 16+ weeks old.  The song has done well, it has charted on 4 of Starfleet Record Pool’s (distributes music globally) and as of 2/16/2016, the song  hit #1 on 2 charts, #5 & #8 on the other 2 charts. This is huge considering the competition from the major label artist. As of this week I have1,515,778 votes on Starfleet VIP page.

How was it working with Reginald Staggers on the single?

My brother and I have been collaborating for more than 15 years and so without him I would not be where I am today.  We are united in our efforts to produce the best music we can and have fun doing it together.

How has Let’s Go Out Tonight gone down so far?

The CD has officially released this week (February 25th) and jumped to the top of the StarPoint UK Soul Chart where it debut at #4 and the Solarradio Sweet Rhythms Chart where it debut at #3.  So it’s doing quite well and the general feedback has been extremely favorable.

If you could work with any artist on a new song, who would it be and why?

Will Downing,  he is someone that I’ve idolized for years.  His unique singing style and tone are very distinct and he is someone that I can listen to for hours.

Will you be touring at all this year?

I’m doing a lot of local performances in the Washington DC area, but hope to make my way to cities once I actively start promoting the CD.

Would you ever wish to tour the UK/Europe?

I have done some performances in the UK and very much have enjoyed those experiences.  The soul scene in the UK is like none other.  The people there are very knowledgeable about soul music and are just so open to experiencing indie artist that it’s the motivation that keeps artist like me going.  With that said, I would love to make my way back to the UK and often get asked by people who have supported my music when I’ll be coming over to perform.  Hopefully soon!

What do you get up to in your spare time when not working on music?

Watching sports or out jogging.  I’m a huge football and basketball fan so I spend my down time watching as many games as I can!
