Interview: To An End

To An End are an alternative metal band from Melbourne, Australia.

For fans of Killswitch Engage, Metallica, Avenged Sevenfold, Trivium and Stone Sour.

The debut album REDEFINE ranges from catchy hard rock to melodic metal with a few surprises throughout.

REDEFINE includes guest appearances from Chris Amott (ex-Arch Enemy) and Chris Clancy (Mutiny Within, Wearing Scars). Check out latest single Wasteland below!

We managed to catch up with the band for an interview!

So how has your latest album gone so far with fans then?

We have been blown away with the response from the fans and positive reviews from a number of sites. It is definitely inspiring to hear people are just as excited about the music as we are and we can’t wait to get more music out there!

Tell us something about the release no one knows?

A demo of one of the songs on the album was completed 10 years ago!

If you could work with any band on a new song, who would it be and why?

There are so many that come to mind, but I would have to say it would be interesting to write a song a song with Killswitch Engage, Slipknot or Trivium.

How has your latest single been received?

We have released a number of songs off the album with the main single being Wasteland with a full video. This song is one that people tend to connect with live, so we thought it was the best song to introduce the band. I think we’ve gained a few fans thanks to Wasteland.

Can you tell us about the meaning behind the track?

It really is a take on how turbulent, crazy and confusing the world can be.

What tours do you have coming up, and what can you tell us about them?

We are aiming to play as far and wide as possible throughout 2019 with a number of local shows planned in the short term with a view to go interstate throughout the second half of 2019. Check out our Facebook Events for details.

What venue are you most looking forward to playing the most, and why?

We look forward to playing anywhere really, so there is no venue that stands out in particular. I’d say we are most looking forward to lots of interstate shows given we haven’t had a chance to do many of them.

What else can we expect from in 2019?

We are spending the majority of 2019 promoting our debut album, Redefine. This means shows, possibly another video/ single release and then we’ll think about studio time and getting more music out there!
