Interview: The FullBug

The FullBug is a four-piece hard rock band from Tel Aviv, Israel. After spending years playing in various groups within the Israeli punk rock scene, the band formed in 2015 under the name “Project Revival”. In 2017, Project Revival released it’s debut album, “Heavy Gravy”. That year they won the prestigious “Best Rock Act” award from Radio WigWam in the UK.In 2018, after changing the band’s lineup and its name to “the Full Bug” (slang for “give it everything you got!”), the band set out to record their first E.P, titled “Black Hole Syndrome”.

Produced independently and mixed by Daniel Brecher, the “Black Hole Syndrome” EP, which features Lavy Josephsohn as the lead vocalist and guitarist, has a big and epic rock sound filled with heavy riffs and melodic choruses. Check it out below!

We caught up with the band as they talked about their latest release and more!

So how has your latest album/EP gone so far with fans then?

Our moms loved it 🙂

Tell us something about the release no one knows?

The songs on the EP were meant for a different band with different lead vocals. Then, reality kicked in.

How has your latest single been received?

Pretty good, we were thrilled to have our song ‘Blood Bath’ played on The New Rock Show hosted by Wyatt Wendels, on Planet Rock radio UK.

Can you tell us about the meaning behind the track?
‘blood bath’ is a song about our inner conflict and trying to adapt and adjust to realities we don’t like and wish they weren’t true.when the dissonant is too big it feels like an emotional blood bath inside.

What venue are you most looking forward to playing the most, and why?

Listen, any venue, really.

What else can we expect from in 2018?

We have 2 animated music videos in the making. One by an artists from berlin and one made independently by Lavy our frontman which is also an animation and compositing artist.
