We caught up with BeBe as the artist talked about latest single Cleanin’ House and more!

So how has the release of Cleanin’ House gone down with fans so far?

“Cleanin’ House”, my fourth major single release in the past 2.5 yrs, has, I’m happy to say, been received well by everyone. It’s been charting on many, many DJ playlist charts and getting positive response on the dancefloor.

Can you tell us something about the track no one else knows?

Well, when recording the adlibs for the track, I was truly singing off the top of my head with lyrics and vocal phrasings that I was feeling at the moment. I messed up one lyric line followed by a laugh that was not included on the Club Mix, but most of the remixers have left it in their final remixes. I actually have begun to like the screw up because it gives the track that much more authentic feeling.

Will you be releasing EP/album this year at all?

I won’t be releasing an EP/Album this year, but with the start up of my own label, Nothing Sweeter Music, later this year, I hope to produce a 4-5 track EP in 2019.

If you could work with any band or artist on a new song, who would it be and why?

There are so many artists I admire and would kill to work with, but I would love to do a dance track with Boy George because I’m loving his new vocal sound and as a DJ, he has his pulse on what’s going on out in the dance world. Plus I think our combined aesthetics would be hot!

Are you touring at all this year?

I will be working on the first single from my new label later this summer with a couple of featured artists and good friends of mine, Au Jus and Amora Teese, on a cover of “If You Could Read My Mind”, and with it’s release in the Fall, we’ll be planning a tour. How extensive, I’m not quite sure yet.

So you’ve done work for the LGBT community in the past, is this something that is close to your heart?

Most definitely! Giving back to and advocating for the equal rights for our community is very important to me on the daily!

What’s been your best moment so far?

Musically speaking, my best moment so far has been charting on the Billboard Dance Charts last year. It made me feel as if the DJs and music community were taking my music seriously and were paying attention.
