Fizzy Blood release Summer of Luv video

Rising Leeds band Fizzy Blood unveil their new, retro-inspired lyric video for current single Summer of Luv, celebrating the announcement of their forthcoming track-titled EP due 1st Sep on Killing Moon/Alya Records.

The track was inspired by the band’s travels to the USA to play SXSW for the first time in 2016, with the main riff being written in a budget motel off a freeway in Austin, Texas. It has gone on to see spins from BBC Radio 1’s Phil Taggart, Huw Stephens, Dan Carter, alongside 6Music, Radio X, Kerrang! and Amazing Radio.

Explosive and guttural, Fizzy Blood are aptly named and causing a stir. Releasing their colossal debut EP Feast in 2015, widespread praise for the record fuelled a formidable live run, highlights including shows alongside Allusondrugs, The Virginmarys, Max Raptor and The Dead Kennedys.

2017 has been the band’s biggest year to date. Kickstarting with their second performance at SXSW, followed by a mammoth month long tour with While She Sleeps, then Liverpool Sound City, The Great Escape, Camden Rocks, Download and 2000 Trees festivals, the band are reputable live force in British rock. They are showing no signs of slowing down, with Reading & Leeds and Reeperbahn (GE) festivals in their sights.

Brimming with energy, an ear for contagious melodies and blistering musicianship, forthcoming EP Summer of Luv is the blood, sweat and tears that the band have put into this year. And with so much more to give, it’s only a matter of time until Fizzy Blood becomes a household name in British music.
