We caught up with the band as they talked about their upcoming release and more!

So how pumped are you for the release of ‘Achromatic’?

We are really excited, we have been sitting on this for a little while now trying to keep quiet as best as we could! We can’t wait for it to finally be released for everyone to listen to.

Can you tell us about the EP? What is your favourite track?

The EP is a culmination of a lot of hard work. It didn’t take very long at all to record the EP in hindsight but we did spend a lot of time perfecting the music before even starting the recording process.

We recorded the EP all in house by ourselves, and the artwork was also done by Lee (our guitarist) so this whole project was done exclusively by us, which to us makes it even more valuable and rewarding for us to release.

Achromatic to us is a great representation of what we believe to be what we are all about, and at the moment “Hour Glass” is our favourite track, which happens to be our first single too. It has big riffs, catchy melodies and some heavy groove elements in there to really sink your teeth into.

How has the lead single Hour Glass gone?

Hour Glass is going down very well at the moment, we are in the “exclusive” listening stage of our release so we haven’t officially released it for people to download, but the response so far has been amazing.

How was it being supported by BBC Introducing?

BBC Introducing have been very kind to us over the years and we are really appreciative that they would even choose to play us on the radio. We have been wanting to get on their BBC Introducing live sessions for a while now so hopefully we will be able to do that sometime soon.

How was the Independent Venue Week Festival back in January?

It was amazing! The support we received and the welcome we got as well was really special to us, and to play a venue like the John Peel Centre was such a big step up for us as well. We got to share the stage with many other great talents and we were just very proud to have been a part of it.

If you could work with any band on a new song, who would it be and why?

It would be really cool to work with Muse on a song, we love the heavy riffs and creative songs that they produce, it would be amazing to be a fly on the wall overseeing their writing process.

Who has the best fashion sense out of you all?

I think it’s safe to say our vocalist Ollie, he has his own style going and he’s always changing his outfits and hair styles. The rest of us just wing it and hope for the best!

What were your first gigs that you went to?

The very first gig I went to was with Muse, Biffy Clyro and My Chemical Romance at Wembley Stadium. Absolutely mind blowing show and was a once in a life time opportunity for me personally having 3 of the best bands at the time in such a large venue. – Ollie

What has been the funniest moment while recording the new EP?

We always have a great time recording and rehearsing together, whilst there are not stand out moments, it is always a blast when us guys get together and we are glad to be able to be on this journey together!
