SixStringNoise formed in the year 2010 in Athens, Green. After Releasing the debut digital-album Snowing Bullets While Kissing the Ground as an one man band in January 2011…10 new songs were ready to be performed live and new plans were made, about forming a 4 member Heavy Hard Rock Band with some prog elements and mostly influenced, by the new US Hard Rock scene!
In May 2011,the band finally became a complete band. with Alex D (Drums) and Alex B(Bass/Backing vocals),along with Markos(Lead Vocals/Lead n’ Rythm Guitars) as they began to prepare and rehearse songs from their debut album and cover songs for gigs in Athens.
After a short break in 2012 and line up changes, the band started to play many gigs all around Athens and one performance in Alexandroupoli. At the same time the new album Likewise, was planned and ready to be released in the end of March 2013.
After many shows and line-up changes during the period Summer 2013-Summer 2014, SixStringNoise became an one man’s band and prepared the upcoming new album that was planned to be released mid 2015 entitled as Snake Side Brotherhood. SixStringNoise released Cold Damned Season back in January this year and you can check out The Broken Homes below!

We managed to catch up with SixStringNoise as he talked about the latest release and more!
How has the release of Cold Damned Season gone so far?
Well already the new album is going really amazing and impressive with positive reviews from all over the world.
I am so grateful reading all these wonderful comments from persons who just heard my music even for the first time.
Definitely an extra reason to keep writting and wanting to become better with every release and raising the bar higher.
Tell us about the album?
“Cold Damned Season” is my 3rd full length album and succesor of 2015’s sophomore album called “Snake Side Brotherhood”.From the previous album the sound got heavier, filled with more proggy and metal elements but in the same time, i wanted to keep my id from the older releases with a rock base above all.Combines every thing that an alternative metal fan wanted to hear i guess…
with heavy, alternative, melodic or even more easy listening tunes to the more complex prog long duration ones.Wanted also to say that like every 6SN album: music, lyrics, artwork, videos are written/composed/created by me ,as i did with this one and for the first time i managed also: the production, mixing and mastering and it was a huge challenge for me,learning in the same time many things!
What is your favourite song from the release?
I would easily say the tittle track “Cold Damned Season”!It’s 7minute long delivering many elements, some darker, some more melodic and acoustic, some more brutal or progressive.
It’s definitely a track from all the 6SN era that i am so proud of!
If you could work with any band, who would it be and why?
Without any second thought with Alter Bridge and Alice in Chains. Both bands are a huge reason of the 6SN existence and influence all this time writting my own material.Watched them live both abroad Greece and it’s an unforgetable lifetime experience.Surely without them my way of writting and composing would be much more different!
What is the rock scene like in Greece?
Every year the Greek Rock scene is getting better and better, raising the bar from compositions/performances til the production/videos/artworks and the whole band image. Many things have changed for better and many bands starting participating in big festivals abroad Greece, which is really very important for the future of this genre.
Will there be a tour with this album?
SixStringNoise is back to where the band started!!After the release of the 1st full length album “Likewise” (2013) and after many gigs around Greece, i decided to keep the band as i started it from the first place….as an “One man’s band”!So it’s kinda difficult to tour for the new album, but i am so proud that via instagram with more than 16k followers right now, my work is much more recognized and heard all around the world ,raising my fan base and it’s an extra reason for me to keep writting and looking fwd to socialize with all the fans calling them SixStroingNoisers and giving me strength and courage.Definitely there are plans for new acoustic shows though!!
What has been your proudest moment to date?
Well the first and most important thing for me was, when Mark Tremonti (Alter Bridge,Creed,Tremonti) and Brian Marshall (Alter Bridge,Creed) replied to me personally on Twitter and facebook for a SixStringNoise track and an Alter Bridge cover with impressive positive comments that made my day, month, year….or i could say years!!!

What was your funniest moment while recording the album?
Lolllllll it will sound more weird than funny, but there you go…While i was recording the track “Keep the Change” from my new album and tracking vocals, as in every song took me almost a month for each track,so the vocal part is definitely really hard and serious job for me!So while i was recording some backing vocals…i tried to keep straight a melody before singing the recording part that i had to keep and then suddenly when i was listening the mastered edition of the song in my headphones and speakers (as a finalized song), i heard the melodies which i forgot to cut in the mixing…and THANK GOD the melodies was really cool and matched with the chorus really great!! (laughs)
What were your first gig that you went to?
First gig ever was in 1996 in Athens watching my favorite band ever (along with Alter Bridge), and it’s of course Iron Maiden!!!A night that i will always remember for all my life.
