Live Review: Southampton Tattoo Festival

2

Southampton Tattoo Festival took place over the weekend at the Ageas Bowl which had a very spooky feel to it. With Halloween coming up, it was an ideal weekend for Tattoo enthusiast to show off their finest ink and listen to some really good music. There was even a beer festival that took place after the event until 10pm.  Burlesque dancers were also on show entertaining the hundreds of Tattoo fans that clearly enjoyed every minute of this fantastic event.

Bands such as Saints of Sin, The Ace Trio, The Paper Trains and more all put on one hell of a show and certainly eased the pain of some very detailed Tattoos. Other bands included Catballou, Mighty Shrimp and Kenya Johnson who were playing throughout the weekend and entertaining families with their awesome sound. Tattoo shops such as Freaky  Circus Tattoo, KnowHow Tattoo, Needle & Fred, Titantic Tattoo and many more turned up over the two twos and left many customers happy. See here for a full tattoo artist list that appeared over the weekend here.

Earlier this year the festival had a summer event and this one certainly lived up to the hype that the event created back in July. Everyone was taking part in the theme of Halloween and you can tell that every single fan and artist was at the event for a passion which clearly means a lot to everyone involved. There was plenty of judging going with winners earning a special skull trophy. The beer was superb and although some pints of beer were at a pricey tag of £5, it was worth it to taste what the festival had on offer. Overall it was a brilliant couple of days and I even managed to get my first tattoo!
