Metalcore outfit The End At The Beginning, hailing from Italy, is now streaming their brand new music video for the track Dissipate. The music video, shot by Tommy Antonini Videography, is the second single taken from the band’s full length, Revelations, due this October 14th and that features guests such as Jei from Despite Exile.The End At The Beginning had previously won the Unsigned Artist Of The Month contest in April 2015 held by Artery Recordings, and it’s clear now that the group is back with a vengeance, ready to deliver crushing, brand new and incredibly catchy music to the masses. We manage to catch up with The End of the Beginning about their upcoming album, tour, fans and more!
So how has the release of of ‘Dissipate’ gone?
The release of the new song ‘Dissipate’ are going pretty well for now, but we’re still far from the numbers we wanted to reach. CaliberTV and the guys in Famined Records have done a really good job, and we’re so thankful for this.
How proud are you of the upcoming release ‘Revelations’?<
We’ve never been so proud of something came out from this band. The first album was literally a DIY full-lenght, as a first approach to the genre and the scene, but ‘Revelations is something more to us. The composition process, the lyrics, the inspirational lives shows with bands from our country, all of this have lead to a very solid production, and we hope the fans will appreciate it.
Is this any different to your previous releases?
That’s pretty much different. It’s more mature, heavy, significant and more professional. We really did our best into it.
How much does your fans mean to you guys?
Without the fans we are only a bunch of friends making music for themselves. You know, when someone comes to you saying the lyrics are so meaningful for him and that somehow helped him to get through everyday’s difficulties and hard times, that’s the moment you realise there’s something more than music in what you do.
Will there be a tour with the new album?
We’re trying to set up something for 2017 in Europe, and we hope to do this a couple of times next year.
What was it like working with the likes of Jei from Despite Exile?
He’s one of the best singer we have in the underground Italian scene and a great guys, most important things to us besides singing abilities. We strongly wanted his voice for this album since the beginning of the writing process, and we think he did a great job.
If you could work with any band or perform alongside them, who would it be and why?
We really like to play with bands we never heard of, because you find so much surprising talent in every underground band and so many good friends! That’s the way we like to be as a band and what’s important for us. If you meant a famous one, we can say that we’d absolutely love to play with August Burns Red, because in someway they inspired in being what we are now as musicians.
How much your Italian roots inspire your music?
Well, the Italian roots are not a good start for this genre. Italian music is very influenced by melody and harmony, all took from lyrical songs and so on, you know. We think that the clean parts on our song are pretty influenced by this particular melodic root, even if they may be considered stylistically more ‘nordic’.
