Manchester hard rock band One Last Run released their debut album Unbreakable back in May and have since enjoyed a lot of success through it. Female lead singer Becky Roberts and the rest of the band recently announced that they will be Chasing Dragons, Sertraline, Pulverise and other awesome bands at this years’ Chebfest in Leeds on 27th August. They will also be joining New Device for three of their tour dates before that however from 5th August. You can listen to the title track from the latest album below.
I managed to catch up with One Last Run for a quick interview about the latest album, fans, inspirations and more!
How has the release of Unbreakable been?
Fantastic! I don’t think we have had a poor review yet, our fanbase are loving it and it has grown massively with the release of the album. So I are certainly happy so far!
In particular, are you pleased with the view  Tell Me has received since it’s release last year?
Certainly, it really set the bar nicely for the album. After people heard Tell Me we had quite a few messages with people keen on hearing the album.
What’s it like being part of an up and coming band like yourselves?
Haha, the first thing I think of is hard work! But only because of how much we all put into it to get One Last Run to where we want it to be. It has to be done. Saying that, it is SO worth it! The shows we get to play, places we get to visit and people we meet make all the long nights of practicing worth it.
What would you say to your fans that go to gigs and buy your music?
Thank you. Seriously, thank you so much. It is very humbling that people want to spend money on our music and spend the time to see us. On a personal note, I always wanted to create music that can connect with people. Knowing that is happening is surreal to me.
What music inspires you guys?
Individually, we all have a broad spectrum of music taste. But as a unit, we all have a love for hard rock and metal, so draw on the likes of Alter Bridge, Shinedown and In This Moment for inspiration.
Have you got any gigs planned this year?
We will be all over the UK throughout the year, so keep an eye out if there is a show near you! (sorry for the shameless plug there haha)
Where would you like to see yourselves in 5 years time?
The dream is playing Arenas all over the world! Ambitious I know, but the only way you will get there is if you truly believe you can do it.
Have you got any plans for new music this year?
Sorry to disappoint, but we don’t have studio time planned in 2016.
