Keep your eye on November 13th, because Eddie Witz & The Most High are set to drop what promises to be one of the late autumn’s most sun-soaked releases. Titled “Mi Isla,” the upcoming single is a vibrant, Spanish-language reimagining of their acclaimed track “My Island” – and it gets a massive boost from reggae royalty with the addition of Big Mountain frontman Quino McWhinney (“Baby, I Love Your Way”).
If the stellar lineage of the original track is any indicator, listeners are in for something extraordinary. Co-written with songwriting icon Jeff Barry (“Be My Baby,” “River Deep – Mountain High”) as a spiritual heir to his classic “Montego Bay,” the track boasts production by Grammy winners Native Wayne and Brian Jobson, alongside the legendary pulse of 13-time Grammy-nominated drummer Sly Dunbar (The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan).

With Quino bringing his effortless, velvet Latin-reggae delivery to join Witz’s soul-stirring roots-folk vocal, “Mi Isla” fuses Jamaican rhythm with Mexican warmth. But beneath the laid-back groove lies a deeper, transcendent purpose: following a life-altering battle with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, Witz infused the music with chakra-aligning Solfeggio frequencies, turning a infectious summer jam into a genuine sonic sanctuary.
As Quino notes: “So excited to be part of this project. Songs like ‘Mi Isla’ live forever.”
Mark your calendars for November 13th – “Mi Isla” is shaping up to be an unmissable escape from the noise of modern life.
