If there’s one thing you can say about Mad Morning, it’s that they don’t shy away from intensity. The Essex trio have returned with the video for ‘The Circle’, and it’s the kind of visual that makes you feel like you’ve been shoved into the room with them, no exits, no breathers, no room for excuses.
The concept is brutally simple: the band stand in what looks like a shipping container painted red from top to bottom, a wall of amps sealing off the far end, playing like they’re trying to break out by sheer volume. And honestly, it works. The limitations become part of the tension. You can practically feel the air thickening as the track builds.
‘The Circle’ leans harder and louder than their debut ‘Painkiller’. There’s a sharper edge here, a snarl in the guitars, a heavier stomp in the drums, and a vocal delivery from that sounds like he’s had just about enough of everything the modern world tries to sell him. The chorus line, “Take the money, I’ll keep my pride”, lands like a punch.
While some bands with early hype try to soften their sound or widen their appeal, Mad Morning seem to be moving the opposite direction: rougher, grittier, more willing to get uncomfortable. That attitude comes through in the video too.
If you’re into rock that feels lived-in, loud, and claustrophobic in the best possible way, this video is a solid sign that the band aren’t slowing down anytime soon.
