What’s your take on AI and fake bands flooding streaming services?
The worst thing that could happen to real bands and the music world as a whole.
Physical vs Streaming. What’s your opinion on how they affect the music industry now & the future for both?
Physical, but sadly they’ve got you over a barrel now so if you’re new and you want to get your music out to a wider audience, unless you offer your music to stream then you’re kind of screwed.
People are making noise complaints when moving into properties near live music venues. What would you do to keep both parties happy?
Then they should have realised that before moving there, sorry but there is no other way around this. It’s the people moving there’s responsibility to check these things before moving.
What’s your take on shows with mobile phones being banned? Is it good for concerts to be documented or are cameraphones too intrusive?
The thing about mobile phones is that they water down the intensity of a rock n roll gig and are an unnecessary distraction. Looking at a gig through your phone is completely missing the point of a rock gig, the idea is to let go, let go of everything you usually do, get lost in the freedom, that is what a rock gig is about.
What song do you wish you’d written and why?
There are no songs I’d wish I’d written, but I’m glad Lemmy wrote Ace of Spades. Lyrics and riff say everything about the spirit of genuine rock n roll.
What’s your favourite tour story?
Finishing a particularly good gig in Amsterdam and having the best unremembered backstage party I’ve ever known.
Any releases planned?
Yes, I’m releasing a solo single before the end of this year, the video footage has been filmed and is in the works tk be released.
