Take It Or Leave It discuss new EP ‘Tunnel Vision’!

So how has your latest album/EP gone so far with fans then?

Tunnel Vision’ has been incredibly well received. For a lot of our fans, it was the first time they could finally stream songs they’d been recording live off their phones at shows. Other bands and music lovers have reached out to compliment the sound quality, especially considering we recorded it ourselves in Craig’s basement (shout out to Anthony at Small Room Studio for the amazing work in post production). Having the chance to road-test these tracks live before tracking gave us a huge advantage because we already knew which parts hit and which needed refining. Since the release, we’ve heard from people in California, Portugal, and Canada (not kidding) asking when we’re touring their area, just to name a few. And we aren’t just staying hyper local, as we already trekked up to Buffalo for a mini-tour. That tells us people aren’t just listening, they want to see it live.

Tell us something about the release no one knows.

The EP artwork is actually a photo of Craig’s son looking through a PVC pipe. Craig held the camera at one end while his son stared into the lens. We started adding strips of duct tape to the outside of the pipe to help diffuse the light and create some natural shadows. It ended up capturing exactly the kind of perspective the title Tunnel Vision implies. Plus, his son loves when we come over for practice, so including him in our first release just felt right.

If you could work with any band on a new song, who would it be and why?

We’d love to work with Green Day. They’ve always struck that balance between raw punk energy and political edge, and in today’s climate, that’s more needed than ever. For a three-piece, their sound is massive and it never feels like anything’s missing. Plus, jamming with Billie Joe Armstrong would just be surreal. He’s one of the modern legends in punk, no question.

How has your latest release been received?

The reception has been awesome. Several tracks, especially “Run” and “Some Things Never Change,” have been picked up by local and internet radio stations, and they even landed on Rock Rage Radio’s Summer Sampler playlist for U.S. festivals. The EP helped us reach the finals in a few competitions too, including iHeartRadio’s Wango Tango contest. And we’ve had growing support from playlist curators, zines, and fans sharing it across platforms.

Can you tell us about the meaning behind the track?

The title Tunnel Vision works on a few levels. It’s a reminder to stay focused, especially when distractions start piling up, but also a warning not to get so locked in that you miss what’s going on around you. The name actually comes from the first line in the EP’s opening track “Run,” so it also ties directly into the lyrics. As a band, we were bouncing in a hundred directions at once, and the name helped anchor us, creatively and mentally, to push through and finish the project right.

What tours do you have coming up, and what can you tell us about them?

We’ve got shows lined up through winter, with announcements starting this fall. There are a few Northeast dates locked in already, and we’re looking to expand out in 2026. For fans outside the NYC area, we’re also planning another live-streamed show on YouTube, like we’ve done in the past. That format lets us connect with people across states and countries so if there’s demand in your town, we just might come through next time instead.

What venue are you most looking forward to playing the most, and why?

Starland Ballroom is a big one on our list. If you’re from this region, you get it. So many iconic punk and alternative acts have come through there. It’s the kind of venue that feels both legendary and local. There’s space to thrash in the pit but also room to just chill with a drink. Some of us have been in the crowd there since we were teens so playing that stage would feel full circle. Mario had the opportunity to join Goldfinger on stage around 2012 and Feldman even encouraged him to take a stage dive at the end of the chorus.

What else can we expect from you in 2025?

We’re deep into writing the next record and plan to release it in 2026. Our next single, “Therapy,” has already been getting tested out live and there’s a version from Porchfest on our YouTube for those curious. We’ve also been brainstorming some video projects and expanding our setlists with new material. This year’s about building momentum, and 2026 is going to carry that forward in a big way.
