Some songs are heartfelt, others uplifting – Birmingham-born songwriter Matreya’s upcoming ‘I Saw The Light’ is both, but behind it is a profound spiritual message that could lift anyone out of the darkest of shadows.
Scheduled for release on July 11th, ‘I Saw The Light’ is a soulful celebration of healing from depression, inspired by his journey learning Reiki and Yoga practises. The track follows the empowering, critically-acclaimed debut ‘Eagles,’ and now he’s searching deeper within – revealing a track that chronicles self-love, moving on from tragedy, and the beauty of seeking light when it seems there is no hope.
Originally rising to the public eye on the X Factor as Mason Noise, the singer captured the hearts of many with his enigmatic stage presence and powerful voice – only for this to be halted by personal loss that caused a lengthy battle with depression.
Having embraced meditation and Qi Gong, and now trained in movement therapies, he opens his heart to share his story – hoping to inspire others who are struggling. The release coincides with the launch of #FromDarknessToLight, a powerful interview series where Matreya engages in honest conversations with some of the world’s most inspiring healers, yoga teachers, and spiritual leaders, exploring anxiety, depression, and holistic approaches to healing.
Don’t miss out on ‘I Saw The Light’ – an uplifting spiritual anthem in the making…
