So how has your latest album/EP gone so far with fans then?
Things are going well and the fans seem to be enjoying it – we’re getting lots of positive reactions, people are loving it according to our Instagram comments. Smash that like button, y’all.
Tell us something about the release no one knows?
We recorded the vocals in an old dumpster – a dead ringer for Annie’s ex husband!
Nah, just kidding – but Ryan has a recording studio set up in his basement, where we did all of the recording and mixing for the EP.
If you could work with any band on a new song, who would it be and why?
When we talked about this question as a band, the two bands that came up were our current favourites – Amyl and the Sniffers or The Chats…but the why was harder to determine. We’d love to work with either band because they’re cool and the music’s good, also there is possibly a guy with red hair in one, and Ryan doesn’t get enough enrichment time in the company of gingers…plus Amyl is Australian, we could go to Australia and get murdered by a weird bug if we’re really lucky.

Can you tell us about the meaning behind the track?
Our newest song, “The Forgotten” was released May 20th; it’s the third single released from our upcoming EP, and we’re so excited about it!
The song centers immigration detention centers, especially at the southern US border, and the experience of children who arrive without the safety of relatives. The experimental, non-traditional structure and discordant, brutal vocal lines reflect the incense subject matter, intentionally unsettling listeners without losing our signature energy – one of the things we’re known for.
“The Forgotten” has been in the works for a while, and really started fermenting during Trump’s first term, when there started to be news coverage of people crossing the US/Mexico border. The idea of anyone being in a cage – but especially kids – was infuriating and heartbreaking, and Annie couldn’t help but make it into a song.
What tours do you have coming up, and what can you tell us about them?
We’re currently booking out into summer/fall, and have a few weekend tours throughout the Midwest scheduled. Our upcoming dates are:
June 13 – Cosmo Joe’s Atomic Lounge (Dayton, OH)
June 14 – Taco Fest @ Live Wire (Chicago, IL)
July 24th – Garden Bowl (Detroit, MI)
July 26 – Punk Rock Night @ The Melody Inn (Indianapolis, IN)
Depending on publishing date, our single release schedule is as follows:
- June 17 – full EP is released along with fourth song, cover of “9 to 5” by Dolly Parton
What venue are you most looking forward to playing the most, and why?
We can’t wait to play again at the Melody Inn (Indianapolis) because it’s cool as hell!
We want to come out and play as much as we can, and it’s so cool to meet other people who are as passionate as we are about music and punk and community – so I don’t think there’s a place we wouldn’t consider if we could afford to travel there.
We would love to be part of Punk Rock Bowling, Rebellion Fest, or anything that Nacho Corrupted puts together in LA (what’s up buddy!) – but we’re not shy. The dream venue would be Red Rocks, of course! Not to be all Tinder about it – but just ask. 😉
What else can we expect from you in 2025?
We’ll probably be starting recording on a new album sometime this year; we write constantly and so far we’re having a ball putting some new tunes together.
Our big goal in 2025 was to do many more tour dates – to really get out into the world and meet more cool people doing cool stuff in cool cities. Come out to a show – or reach out to us about playing a show in your city!
And I’m told there may be a vasectomy in the schedule for 2025, but it’ll be up to the fans to choose who gets snipped. Stay tuned for that super serious poll. 😀 We’re counting on you, folks!
