So how has your debut album ‘A Bounce of Grace’ gone down with your fans so far then?
With the fans it’s very well received, the album release show was packed and almost all the vinyl albums we’re sold. So, for us that was a unique experience, and we are very grateful for the release albumshow, and all the people who came to see us.
Tell us something about your debut album that no one knows?
We recorded on a 24 track analog tape recorder from the Wally Heider studios in San Francisco, that we bought and shipped to the Netherlands. A machine where a lot of great artists recorded on such as: The Greatful Death, Neil Young, Tom Waits, Fleetwood Mac etc.
Who produced the album, and what were they like to work with?
We produced it ourselves, Ids van der Heide and I (Dolf). Ids is a very easygoing guy to work with. With a lot of knowledge and experience of different recording techniques from the past and present, much of which we have applied in making this debut album. He’s very good in making everybody comfortable so everybody plays better.
Can you tell us about the meaning behind the title of your debut album?
For me personally, the album represents a personal growth and a musical growth. You could think of it as navigating through life’s challenges with a certain gracefulness.
If you could work with any band on a new song, who would it be and why?
Sharon Van Etten because of her beautiful inspiring melodies and lyrics combinations. And Johnny Marr, because of his inspiring way of playing and guitar riffs.
What tours do you have coming up, and what can you tell us about them?
Well, quite some gigs through the Netherlands, mostly underground gigs and some festivals. But we want to spread our music and explore what the world has in mind for us. It would be amazing to play abroad.
What venue are you most looking forward to playing the most, and why?
Paradiso Amsterdam, we never played there, it would be our first time. A very special place to play, I’ve seen quite some bands there and the atmosphere is magical.
What else can we expect from you in 2025?
Playing live as much as possible and recording demo’s for a new album. Finding a booker/network to play abroad.
