When did the initial idea for ‘Together We Are Stronger’ come together?
We always plan to include a campaign song on our albums. Creating the song through to final production was challenging and extremely rewarding. Building the song to include all the voices in the right space within the song, and to ensure that the flow and melody of the song is perfect is an enormous task. We believe that the team has done well and we hope many people resonate with the song.
How would you describe the track, to a reader that is unfamiliar with RADA?
The track, which is included on RADA’s latest album, RADA Unearthed Volume Three is their third collaborative campaign song featuring – iSandi, Ramelo, Pedro Barbosa, Lia Elise, Ross Learmonth, SEVVEN, Me-Ko, SeanJ and Mark Beling. Its purpose is clear — to spread positivity and inspiration in the world. The song addresses daily personal and societal challenges, reminding us that by standing together, we can overcome anything – ‘We are stronger together. Never give up, never let go.’
Can you tell us a bit more about the meaning behind the track?
Music has the power to connect hearts and minds. Our goal is to inspire people to stand up for one another and to know that no matter how tough life gets, we’re stronger together. It’s more than just a song; it’s a movement. It’s about being brave enough to fight for positive change, showing kindness and leading with love. That’s what makes us stronger.
How would you say that the track compares to anything you’ve done before?
The track has been well received and the timing of release is perfect, especially with all that is going on in the world at the moment. It’s easy to focus on all the negative news. Hopefully ‘Together We Are Stronger’ will encourage people to move forward, one day at a time, one step at a time and to remember that our journey together should be one focused on kindness and love.
What was the hardest part about putting it together, and why?
The most challenging thing was to co-ordinate diaries and getting all the voices recorded in studio. The artist featured on the co-lab have very busy lives. The music video recording was actually the easy part to arrange. We had booked a green screen studio for a day and things seemed to just fall into place. There are some surprise elements we are using in the video that slowed us down slightly, but all is now on track and we’re excited to get the video finalized. It’s going to be very cool.
Why should a reader listen to the song?
RADA is a humanitarian organisation focused on empowering individuals. At RADA, the focus is on self-responsibility and self-awareness, an important attribute that can redefine the way we treat others. Besides being inspired by ‘Together We Are Stronger’ and it’s lyrics, all the songs on the various RADA albums aim to deliver a message of love, inspiration and the understanding that even when life throws a curve ball, you always have choice. The royalties generated from each song are donated back into RADA to build, promote and support the community projects the non-profit is involved with. The music therefore has a direct impact on the lives of others and continually strives to uplift and inspire many.
What else can you tell us about ‘Together We Are Stronger’, that we haven’t covered in this interview?
The music video for Together We Are Stronger is nearly done. We should have that ready to share in a few weeks’ time. We’re excited to share it with the world, especially at this time.
