Interview: Talkradio

So how has your latest album/EP gone so far with fans then?

The small group of fans I have seem to have my stuff constantly on their playlists. The difficulty has been getting noticed by others.

Tell us something about the release no one knows?

In the studio, I played the drum tracks for a day and a half with only a lunch break. There are points in a couple of songs where I was so fatigued, I can hear the kick drum not completely in time. Not by much, but I still notice. The same goes for some vocal imperfections. I was so tired by the end of it I didn’t care. I just said to myself “that’s rock n roll”, and moved on, lol.

If you could work with any band on a new song, who would it be and why?

Foo Fighters. I’ve always wanted to see how Dave Grohl keeps coming up with memorable tunes.

How has your latest release been received?

Reviews have been way more positive than I expected. So good that in some cases I got a little emotional. Sadly, that doesn’t seem to equate to a bigger following on streaming services.

Can you tell us about the meaning behind the track?

“Down” is basically about constantly trying to pick yourself up when life knocks you down. Even if the people closest to you are the ones doing the knocking down. It’s hard, and sometimes it has taken a while, but I’ve always tried to do that.

What tours do you have coming up, and what can you tell us about them?

Given I’m the only one in this project, touring is sadly not an option.

What else can we expect from you in 2024?

I’ve started working on my next release, which will be a 5 track EP. I’m hoping to be back in the studio in 2025.
