When did the initial idea for your latest single come together?
Hi, I’m Eric Gynan Co-founder of the bands Leaving Eden & Silver Springs Fleetwood Mac Tribute (2 different bands with the same members) USA, Boston MA Label: Verdict Music, Dark Star Records Sony/Universal World Wide Distribution Members: Eve Lead vocals Alyssa Bailey White Keys/Vocals Jake Gynan Drums Rich Chouinard Bass/Vocals Eric Gynan Guitar/Vocals. We released “Pothead (It’s 4:20 Somewhere)” recently and the idea came about before we originally recorded the song in the past. Since then we just re-recorded it, and re-released it as a different version.
How would you describe the track, to a reader that is unfamiliar with the band?
It’s kind of a fun take on the whole weed smoking bit. We really have a blast with it, it’s a rock, maybe a little punk.
Can you tell us a bit more about the meaning behind the track?
It’s really a give-and-take on maybe the pros and cons. What the nay Sayers would say, and maybe with the weed smokers would say.
How would you say that the track compares to anything you’ve done before?
I think the Production is top notch. We record in Leaving Eden’s recording studio and after the first mix, I send it to my good friend Johhny K. (Disturbed)
What was the hardest part about putting it together, and why?
Probably the reimagining of the song itself. Trying to put a couple twists in there.
Why should a reader check out the track?
Well, we found on the last song people were putting pots on their heads and playing a song in the background and we thought that was cool so we invited people to do the same thing and if it gets done in time, we will add those videos to our official music video. There is still time for this to happen.
What else can you tell us about the track, that we haven’t covered in this interview?
Well, I guess if you want to have a little bit of fun and listen to a good song, here it is! We are releasing 4 more singles with New England based USA record label Verdict Music/Sony/The Orchard. We have just released a new EP titled “Reflections.” Reflections EP The theme is about looking back, reflecting on the things that have made you who you are today. We also have Our Album “SnakeHead” soon to be released. It represents Cutting the snake off at the head.
