Interview: Past The Fall

So how has your latest album/EP gone so far with fans then?

The reaction has pretty much been overwhelmingly positive, it’s been really humbling and elating to hear all the feedback from our fans. We’re still promoting it as we speak with a ‘Poison Mirror’ about to be released as a single with some cool video content. The album itself is quite diverse with the songs so we don’t really feel like we’re repeating ourselves so its great.

Tell us something about the release no one knows?

There are actually 2 editions! The original press features our old logo, but after selling the first run out pretty quickly we decided to use our new logo that we just had completed- that’s one for all the collectors!

If you could work with any band on a new song, who would it be and why?

For me personally it’d probably be mastodon, I really like the impression I get that they’d be up for experimenting with the music, plus they have a grungy vibe that I really like.

How has your latest release been received?

Really well, its quite an opus and takes in a lot of ground- perhaps not the sort of record that you can digest all the nuance in one sitting, so its been great to hear that when it hits its connected so well with everybody.

Can you tell us about the meaning behind the track?

Well the Album title “From Insanity’s Ruin’ is a broad way to describe our personal journeys and resurrection together through challenges. A letter of hope if you will to rebuild something better from the ruins.

What tours do you have coming up, and what can you tell us about them?

We’re back in the studio at the moment, so we ‘re only escaping to do festivals and one off shows at the moment. You can find out what we’re up to at www.pastthefall.com

What venue are you most looking forward to playing the most, and why?

Well in the Uk, just to narrow it down, its probably Hammersmith Apollo now that Brixton Academys future is in doubt. No sleep till Hammersmith!

What else can we expect from you in 2023?

We’ll be releasing more videos around our 4th single off the album- ‘From Insanity’s Ruin’
