The Road Ahead

For the last two years a band of merry youngsters have been plugging away, crafting their own, original work and gigging profusely on the grassroots circuit. I first came across RoadClosed last year and reviewed them at the Digbeth Rising showcase and now I have three brand new songs for consideration.
First up is ‘Burnout’ a gritty, gutsy number harking back to the good old days of Rock ‘n Roll, even the lyrics are very 60’s, take a gander at this,
‘I’m an engine high of speed, yeah, hopped up on your oil spill yeah’.

I’d say the veterans will be rubbing their hands with glee reading this! The vocals are supercharged, characterful and nostalgic. The fire-breathing rhythm section sizzles and spits at you like an angered cobra.
‘Lightning’ is quite radio friendly I feel, that chorus riff, yeah that’s the one, familiar, a little retro and holding the song beautifully.
The angsty ‘Omnipotent’ is next, raw and edgy, still true to the roots of Rock music, but flavoured with a modern twist. All three songs are well written, well-rehearsed and honed to be delivered true to their core values, their worth and capabilities. Those of you longing for a breath of fresh air, look no further, hop aboard with Leonardo Barontini -vocals, Amar Phull -drums, Tyler Wilson –lead guitar and Rachel Towner on bass, this feisty crew are ready to shake, rattle and roll all over the music industry.
Our history has been refreshed and rejuvenated, presented by a band that are fighting fit, slugging it out with their contemporaries and peers, all hoping for a slice of the pie. The singles are paired with some funky artwork, making their music very stylish and memorable too.

It’s an omen, my friends, it’s omnipotent.
