Calva Louise Share New Single ‘Third Class Citizen’

Calva Louise release their venomous new single and video ‘Third Class Citizen’. It’s without a doubt the trio’s heaviest work to date, and is accompanied by an otherworldly music video that was animated and directed by vocalist and guitarist Jess Allanic.

With every release, Calva Louise endeavour to create a universe around their music for the ultimate immersive listening experience. Drawing on their love of Sci-Fi and Fantasy, the band have created films and graphic novels to accompany their works to date. ‘Third Class Citizen’ invites the listener on a psychedelic journey through a terrifying world that defies reason. Jess explains, “Third Class Citizen is  about the never-ending struggle to become masters of our own destiny by merging the real, the imagined and the dreamed”.

‘Third Class Citizen’ is the first track to be taken from Calva Louise’s forthcoming EP Over The Threshold due later this year. In a first for the band, it will be accompanied by a third-person video game produced by Stratera Games.

Hailing from three different continents, Venezuelan guitarist and vocalist Jess Allanic and French bassist Alizon Taho met British/New Zealander drummer Ben Parker in London in 2016. A mix of cultures, musical commonalities and love of film, driven by Jess’s creative vision gave Calva Louise its identity.

With two albums, several EPs and a handful of collaborations to their name, Calva Louise have gathered support from BBC Radio 16 MusicRadio XClashThe Line Of Best Fit and DIY. To date, they’ve shared stages with artists such as The MainAlbert Hammond Jr. and Highly Suspect. More recent live highlights include last year’s Reading & Leeds, 2000 TreesRock For People, and SXSW.
