Living up to its reputation as boasting one of the best festival crowds on the planet, Truck Festival delivered – and then delivered some more. With 25,000 fans and over 250 artists making their way to Hill Farm, Truck 2022 stood as its biggest edition to date – whilst still holding close that indescribable atmosphere that only Truck can serve up. A huge party where music and fun reigns supreme, it all comes to life at your favourite artists’ favourite festival – Truck Festival. Welcoming festival-goers back for the first time since 2019, Thursday’s welcome was a massive one – with the likes of Black Honey, Vistas and Brooke Coombe setting the mood before a triumphant headline set from Stockport’s very own Blossoms. Celebrating new album ‘Ribbon Around The Bomb’, their slot was a crowning moment for a band destined for headline stages from the very beginning. With a very special cover of 80s banger ‘Don’t You Want Me’ thrown in for good measure, ‘Charlemagne’ closes the perfect Thursday night with sheer style and swagger.    Friday’s world of highlights could run on forever – from a packed-out Market Stage in the middle of the day for a very special afternoon set from Yard Act, euphoric reactions to the likes of Lauran Hibberd, Only The Poets and beloved indie favourites Spector, unmissable heavyweight licks from The Subways and Dinosaur Pile-Up as well asa headline grabbing performance from indie blazers Sea Girls all the way to the pop perfection of a standout show from Sigrid on the Main Stage and the genre-spinning magic of Sundara Karma on the Market Stage. It culminated in a mesmerising headline performance from Bombay Bicycle Club – the influential indie pioneers, who took festivalgoers through their rich and iconic back catalogue for a shimmery Friday night disco that showed just why they sit as one of the greatest UK indie bands of all time.    Some people say Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting but we actually reckon Saturday more rightfully belongs to a memorable day full of incredible moments at Truck Festival. Whether it was over on the So Young Market Stage where the likes of Shame, The Big Moon, The Murder Capital, Do Nothing, Lime Garden and Matilda Mann all served up showstopping sets or Sports Team commanding their Main Stage moment alongside breakthrough favourite Baby Queen, an uplifting party from Kelis or the see-to-be-believed opening performance from the Oxford Symphony Orchestra (complete with moshpits and singalongs – of course), Truck Festival was the place to be for the perfect summer Saturday. Rounded off by a headline set from Sam Fender that’ll live long in Truck Festival history not only for its incredible display of one of the most talked about artists in the UK right now, but also for its iconic Barry-from-Eastenders cameo – the atmosphere was an all-time high and one you’d only find at Truck!        Rounding out the weekend on Sunday, Truck Festival-goers continued to celebrate and dance together after so long away with a scorching day matched only by the scorching sets seen. Alfie Templeman stacked The Market Stage with an afternoon set for the ages, Eurovision’s own Sam Ryder took Truck to space and back, Truck icons The Magic Gang gathered a vast crowd for their Main Stage celebration and both Inhaler and Easy Life staked their claim as future headlines with mind-blowing turns to ensure Sunday closed Truck Festival with a bang. That was clear when Kasabian made their Truck Festival debut, headlining the night with a hit-packed set of festival anthems that soared late into the night – with frontman Serge Pizzorno stating that Truck was their “show of the summer” as fireworks burst into the night sky!     Whether it was late-night indie discos, informative panels and talks over at the Signature Brew Tap Room, unstoppable electronic parties late into the night from Wilkinson, Bru-C + more or special guest turns on the V&V’s stage (including a surprise reunion show from local titans Stornoway) – Truck Festival proved to be the perfect distillation of the summer festival experience. A world full of music-loving fans creating an atmosphere and energy that can’t be found at any other festival in the country – proving once again why Truck Festival is your favourite artists’ favourite festival and a true beacon for the summer festival season!Speaking about Truck Festival 2022, Festival Organiser Conor Burns said: “What can we say about Truck 2022.
