Saint Louis metal/rock outfit Inimical Drive have dropped a new single and music video for the track “Back To Life”. The song is the first of new music from the band for 2022 as the 5 piece preps for a new album release later this Summer. Watch the video today on Youtube and listen to “Back To Life” on Spotify and Apple Music now.
Inimical Drive vocalist Joel Colby describes the song to Ghost Cult Magazine; “Back to Life is about the struggle within to feel validation for yourself. The stress and pressure that we place on ourselves of not being enough takes its toll eventually. I have a tendency to wear a smile through the pain to a point where it no longer hides. It’s all about recognizing and having the awareness to pull yourself together.”
Musically, Inimical Drive has evolved and matured over the years. When forming almost a decade ago, they had roots in modern metalcore and more recently leaned further into heavy riffs and crushing, yet infectious rock choruses. Being a grinding, hardworking band, Inimical Drive has built quite the following in their hometown of St. Louis, being one of the more well known metal/ hard rock acts in their area. Inimical Drive’s music has been featured by Revolver, Noisecreep, iHeartRadio, Outburn, STL Post Dispatch and more.
