The Pop-punk powerhouse State Champs have released their fourth studio album Kings of the New Age via Pure Noise Records – the album includes previously released singles ‘Everybody But You,’ ‘Outta My Head,’ and ‘Just Sound.’

This latest record from Pop-punk royalty includes nine never-before-heard tracks which feature guest vocalists: Ben Barlow, Chrissy Costanza, Mitchell Tenpenny, and Four Year Strong.

Album four is often when a beloved rock band shifts gears, thus frustrating longtime fans in search for a more “mature” sound. State Champs raise a joyous middle finger to that trope however with Kings Of The New Age, an enthusiastic and confident reminder of what the Upstate New Yorkers do best.

Speaking on the album’s creation process, the band commented: “Kings of The New Age is our fourth album, the one that we spent the most time on, and the one that makes the biggest statement. After writing over 30 songs, we narrowed it down to 11 that best represent our mission as a band, and sonically, match the energy level we wanted to captivate heading into this new chapter.”

Derek DiScanio, Tyler Szalkowski, Ryan Scott Graham, and Evan Ambrosio deliver a strong message on this new record. Produced by Drew Fulk (Lil Wayne, A Day To Remember, Ice Nine Kills) aka WZRD BLD, Kings Of The New Age has been crafted to be a beast of an album which doesn’t sacrifice the heart cherished by a legion of fans.

Pre-released single ‘Eventually,’ on the surface seems to tell the story of a conflict between two separate individuals, but in reality it tells the all-too-familiar tale of a mental and physical battle within one person. Paired with a music video that is filled with behind-the-scenes footage, the dynamic track finds State Champs at the top of their game.

Everybody But You‘ featuring Ben Barlow is a feel-good, party anthem to let your hair down to. A playful revenge tune that is sure to raise a riot of chanting live; the music video features cameos from their long-time friends Tyler Posey, Lil Aaron, Kelen Capener and more. The single recently surpassed one million streams on Spotify, as well as one million views on YouTube.

Outta My Head‘ brings high-energy danceability to get lost in, whereas ‘Act Like That‘ has a more nostalgic sound and approach. Layered with an uplifting instrumental twinkle, this track picks up the pace as an epic guitar solo kicks in, taking the song soaring to new heights as Mitchell Tenpenny comes in with refreshing vocal colour to polish it all off.
