Camp Bestival Announce Additional Artists Joining Shropshire & Dorset Line-ups

Camp Bestival Dorset, the UK’s favourite family festival returning to Lulworth Castle in July, has announced a new round of incredible line-up additions to the all-encompassing family festi-holiday experience, including David Rodigan, Rhoda Dakar, Junior Jungle, as well as Too Many T’s and many more.

The original reggae selector and all-round DJ legend David Rodigan returns to Camp Bestival to serve up some of the best reggae hits – you won’t want to miss this one! If that wasn’t enough, ‘Chap-hop’ legend, Mr B The Gentleman Rhymer, DJ and Worldwide FM host, Pete Gooding, and the iconic British DJS, Chris Coco and Frank Tope also join the already announced Dorset line up set to spark disco-fever.

Rap and hip-hop duo Too Many T’s will bring the party hip hop vibes whilst Junior Jungle return with the finest cuts of Drum and Bass and jungle remixes suitable for all ages – get ready to jump and skank!

Brit Nominated Gracey also joins the bill alongside legendary British singer Rhoda Dakar and beatbox legend, Kimmy Beatbox, who will dazzle festival go-ers with her amazing tongue-twisting skills.

Speaking on Camp Bestival Dorset’s second Line-up announcement, Camp Bestival curator’s Josie & Rob da Bank said: And the musical excellence, creative diversity and fun just keeps coming at our mothership Dorset show… We made David Rodigan a Resident For Life at Camp Bestival about a decade ago and he’s never let us down, yet… Add in crowd faves Junior Jungle, ska royalty Rhoda Dakar, new blood Gracey and chill out wizards Chris Coco and Pete Gooding, and we’re really starting to motor… and this ain’t it, but it’s enough for now!”

The world’s youngest Asperger’s band, The Stencil Pencils will also make their Camp Bestival debut. Consisting of 11-year-old Kale Harris-Herbert aka ‘woo’, brother Johnson aka ‘bouba’, 13, and sister Indiana aka ‘bindi-bow’, 7, the trio have already been recognised by the Queen for their inspirational songs and promising futures.  

Elsewhere on the line-up, festival goers can expect the already announced disco headliners Sister Sledge, Earth Wind & Fire Experience ft Al. McKay, and Kool & The Gang plus mega talents Rudimental and Rag ‘n’ Bone Man. Plus, Dick & Dom, Cosmic Kids Yoga, Horrible Histories: Terrible Tudors and Brainiac Live: Remixed! as well as many more will keep families entertained in a jam-packed four days to remember.

2022 will mark a hugely successful 14-year history of entertaining families for Camp Bestival and as well as enjoying a world beating festival line-up, families can also get lost in four days worth of theatre, wellbeing workshops, circus spectacles, comedy and a mouth-watering array of exquisite food and drink – all located in the beautiful, spacious environment of Lulworth Castle.

Camp Bestival Dorset will have a new ‘Desert Island Disco’ theme, set to skyrocket the action-packed family festival to a whole new disco level. Families can get ready to disco-nnect from the 9-5 and head to the field for a weekend of record-breaking glitter, giggles and good times.

Camp Bestival Shropshire, the stellar sister show to the UK’s favourite family festival coming to Weston Park* in August, has announced a host of incredible line-up additions joining the all-encompassing family festi-holiday experience, including the Brit Award nominated, Self Esteem, as well as Mr Scruff, Gracey, Sister Nancy & Legal Shot Sound and many more.

Experimental pop project Self Esteem headed up by the unstoppable force Rebecca Taylor will wow crowds with her indie-pop singalongs and patriarchy-smashing tracks whilst pioneering Balearic DJ, Nancy Noise will bring her Ibiza anthems to Weston Park. 

If that wasn’t enough, the sensational Bollywood Brass Band will put on an unmissable performance for the whole family and British DJ and producer Mr Scruff also joins the line-up as he returns to Camp Bestival once again. Elsewhere on the bill is ‘Chap-hop’ legend, Mr B The Gentleman Rhymer, British music duo, The 2 Bears, and Brit Nominated Gracey.

The fun doesn’t stop there as ‘The first Lady of Dance Music’ Lisa Loud, will deliver a set to remember whilst Sister Nancy & Legal Shot Sound will bring some Jamaican dance hall flavours to Weston Park. Not to mention, The Hot Tub Time Machine who will supply the 80s and 90s throwback tunes for the adults.

Camp Bestival Shropshire will host a wonderland of expansive green spaces, luxuriant lawns, verdant parkland, and enchanting woodlands and will provide a judgement-free zone for parents and a weekend of fun for everyone. With food stalls and cuisines galore, you can forget lukewarm porridge out of a pan, and what’s more, the sheer volume of activities on offer means children (and parents!) will be guaranteed a good night’s sleep no matter what.
