Blind Channel have released a brand new music video for their latest single ‘Bad Idea,’ a track released today via Century Media Records which will feature on the upcoming album Lifestyles Of The Sick & Dangerous, out July 8 2022.
‘Bad Idea‘ is a track which sees the Finnish violent pop pioneers delving deeper into their feelings than ever before. Bleeding raw emotion over haunting instrumentals, ‘Bad Idea‘ treads dark terrain, telling a brooding tale of broken hearts which leaves a trail of destruction in its wake.
Speaking more about the new track, the group commented: “‘Bad Idea’ is a serenade of self-pity and an unsuccessful apology. In the lyrics, we’re getting personal and digging deeper than ever. The song came to life many years ago, when relationships ended in a very ugly manner and all you could think of was: ”well I warned you.”
Vocalist Niko Moilanen opened up in a vulnerable Instagram post, explaining the track’s long incubation period and its evolution as a personal project and piece of the self.
Blind Channel will be embarking on their first US adventure in March, joining From Ashes To New on their Still Panicking Tour, followed by a European Tour with German metalcore giants Eskimo Callboy.
‘Bad Idea‘ is a banger that is certain to bond the broken ones. Though the sting of self-pity may linger, this song still speaks to the sorest souls. A passionate outpour like the singeing of ice on skin, the beat of ‘Bad Idea‘ blooms such an inky stain on your heart, you are certain to feel something.
