Southampton based genrequeer band Hunting Hearts have dropped their latest single and self-described “rally cry” ‘Love You To Death.’
The unapologetically queer trans punk rock group consists of Beck (vocals and guitar,) Lucy (lead guitar,) Devin (bass and backing vocals,) and Matthew (drums). ‘Love You To Death‘ is the scorching hot single which will form part of the group’s forthcoming crowdfunded genrequeer debut concept album.
This track carries listeners somewhere rocky and dark, as Beck delivers fierce vocals over guitar work ablaze with fighting energy, full of electricity and edge. The lyrics featured are laced with haunting conflict and an unstoppable passion, “Have you seen the moon tonight?/I can feel it running in my veins/Are you all alone tonight?/You’re the darkness that my body craves.”
The single is currently being promoted via an intriguing alternate reality (AR) experience, available to view on Hunting Hearts’ Facebook and Instagram.
The crowdfunding for the album took place in December 2020 and after a year of recording, the album is due for release very soon. Hunting Hearts are pioneers of rebellion, and with their enigmatic tale and punchy punk rock sound one thing’s for sure, their time is certainly coming!
