Live Review: Becky Hill at O2 Academy Bournemouth

It’s been a long 18 months, with rescheduled shows, lots of restrictions and being stuck indoors. Fans of Becky Hill finally got to see her perform at the O2 Academy in Bournemouth last month. And what a performance it was!

The show sold out quickly and with 1800 people present. Becky Hill no doubt had a lot of pressure to deliver a show the audience would love. And without a doubt, she definitely did that!

The cheer before she came on the stage was so loud the room was echoing, with fans chanting her name to screaming the names of her songs. Everyone was super excited for her arrival to the stage!

Becky opened the show with her hit song ‘My Heart Goes’ which was sitting at Number 11 in the UK top 40 charts. From the second the music started there was a wave of noise running through the crowd and everyone’s face was full of joy.

After an incredible opening song, Becky made sure to speak to her audience and say hello to every individual area of the room. Picking out special people in the audience and giving them a personal hello. Becky also thanked everyone for coming a number of times and you could really see how grateful she was for her fans coming together to see her perform!

I made sure to observe the room and take in everyone else’s excitement and while enjoying the music you could see how excited everyone was. While watching everyone else singing, cheering and dancing it really made you realise what a great performer Becky Hill is.

You could see the emotions go through every individual, soaking up the experience. This is what the public have been missing this past year and a half!

As much as Becky Hill got the crowd dancing and chanting to her songs. She also got the audience to understand her more emotional songs.

While she sat playing the guitar singing one of her most recently released songs ‘Distance’. Becky really got to know her audience, and explained what every heartwarming word meant. You could see the crowd really took every lyric in and could relate in their own unique way. There really was a song for every emotion and for every member of the crowd to relate to.

The set finished with another one of Becky’s hit songs ‘Remember’. Which is so catchy you could see everyone singing along and enjoying themselves. Undoubtedly she was given a massive applause for bringing such an amazing show to Bournemouth.

You could tell that the crowd was more than happy with the show and everyone left with smiles on their faces.
