Allegra’s brand new drop, ‘Used To Miss You’ is an anthem of sass

You know Allegra, right? Tik Tok’s certainly smitten, if the 10million-odd views of her last hit ‘All About Us’ are anything to go by. Oh, and it looks like dance music legend R3HAB is rather taken too, if his form-breaking decision to collaborate with our Allegra is another thing to go by. Usually seen remixing the likes of Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Rihanna, the super DJ-slash-producer has taken a punt on a breaking artist and worked his considerable thang on Allegra’s brand new drop, ‘Used To Miss You’.

We’re not surprised, as it’s a stonking anthem that oozes sass, insight, and a hook that just never quits. It’s a post-lockdown ode to the joy of release, both physical and emotional, with lyrics that get you right there. There’s a confidence and maturity we’ve not quite seen before, and a far cry from the 15-year-old Allegra who was told by Leona Lewis, ‘You’re going to be a huge star some day!’ when she was invited on stage to sing Bleeding Love with her. Leona must be some sort of oracle.

The video too has got it all going on. Not only does it turn out Allegra’s a dab hand at the acting thing, but she knows how to pull off a whole load of fashion-forward looks. Little wonder magazines like Rollacoaster and Wonderland have previously snapped her up for fierce editorials, and looks like Allegra’s own rollercoaster ride is set to soar even higher with the release of ‘Used To Miss You’. You go girl!
