Wherever You Will Go in Folk version by Aline Happ

Many bands are known for just one hit, which marked an era. It happened to Vanessa Carlton, 4 Non Blondes, among others. About to complete 20 years, the song Wherever You Will Go, by The Calling, gets a version “Enya” by Aline Happ, singer and producer known for her work in front of Lyria. The version is available on the artist’s YouTube channel.

“This is a beautiful song but also a sad one. I discovered The Calling when I was a teenager watching music videos on MTV and I loved the Alex Band’s voice. I hope the fans like this Classical Crossover version with folk and new age influences”, says Aline Happ.

Released in 2001, the song Wherever You Will Go, by The Calling, is part of the debut album, Camino Palmero and reached the 5th place on the Billboard Hot 100, being the only single from the band to reach this level of success.

The videos posted on Aline Happ’s channel are sponsored by her fans on Patreon. Known worldwide, Lyria is a Symphonic Alternative Metal band founded in 2012 by Aline Happ. Since then, the group has released two albums via crowdfunding support, Catharsis (2014) and Immersion (2018) and played in several Brazilian cities and also online concerts for all over the world.

Aline Happ’s first solo album crowdfunding campaign was a success! Happ is recording her first Celtic/Folk versions of Rock and Metal songs. The artist reached more than 200% of the goal and soon will announce the next steps about the album and the perks selected on her campaign.
