The Big Dirty “Under the Crimson Moon” independent single released 30/04/2021

The Big DirtyChris Datson, James Shaw, Toby Ripley, and James Cutler: the biggest thing to come out of Northamptonshire since the last big thing that came out of Northamptonshire, which says more about them than .. whatever that other thing was. Glamming and sleazing away through a number of releases over the past few years, my only disappointment in “Under the Crimson Moon” is that I wasn’t able to get onto it in my usual, time-honoured fashion.

But it was worth the wait when I finally cracked the link and broke open a warm and layered swamp-rocker that – woah!! No one saw that coming!! Slam- into the riff-laden tempo that we’ve come to know and love from these guys! How they can maintain this pace, song after song, is testament to their rum-fueled partying ways! Obviously too much of a good thing is hardly enough!

How they’re going to pull this, and the rest of their repertoire, off on stage remains to be seen, and this “Summer” is as good a time as ever to find out: more prominently at the Call of the Wild rock festival, Lincolnshire, over the weekend of 8-11/07/2021.

It’s a great opportunity to catch these guys who, like everyone else, are itching to release all the energy that is reflected in their music.

The Big Dirty: big riffs, big solos, big drums, big vocals, big, big sound!
