Bi-coastal duo Electric Palace are releasing their latest single ‘Better Days’ on 9 April!
The single touches on managing optimism during the pandemic and fills you with hope for the future. The rhythmic synths and motivational lyrics make it instantly uplifting, distracting you from the loss and hardship of 2020. The positivity is evident without it being flamboyant, it is laced with subtleties and that is was makes it even more effective.
The band said: “The mood I was feeling at the time was a combination of bleakness but hope with the sun and weather. Nobody can truly say when all of this will be in the rear-view mirror, but almost as a self-help affirmation when I was playing with the chords, out came the lyric, ‘gonna see better days / soon they’ll all be falling into place.”
‘Better Days’ is the lead single for their debut full length album that will be released later this year, ‘Pretend’. The album aims to be a reminder that the opportunity for collective unity and empathy on this planet is right in front of us.
