Lyria’s Aline Happ shares Hoobastank’s The Reason cover

One of the best known songs by the teenagers of the first decade of 2000, The Reason, by Hoobastank, gets a rock version with Celtic and folk influences by Aline Happ, singer and songwriter. The single, that is the most commercially successful of the American band, now gains a reinterpretation that besides the bass and drums, also brings elements such as harp, synthesizers, flute and violin, making the song even more emotional. The song is available on Aline Happ’s channel, which also has versions of Scorpions, Kansas, Linkin Park, Metallica, among others.

Released in 2004, on the album The Reason, the track reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100, in addition to leading the charts in Mexico, Italy and Brazil. In the following year, the song was nominated for a Grammy, in the “Song of the Year” category.
