Interview: Eternal Closure

So how has your latest album/EP gone so far with fans then?

“Color of Our Fears: Rediscovered” has been really well received by our fans. People really like how we sound with our new vocalist Maggy.

Tell us something about the release no one knows?

I (Olivier) was actually pretty sick when re-recording the vocals for the re-release. I think I sound quite a bit better than on the original versions of these songs still, but it was a challenge. Had to blow my nose literally after every 4-5 takes haha.

If you could work with any band on a new song, who would it be and why?

I really like Suicide for a King’s new song “Misconception” and I think that it would be a great band to exchange ideas with.

How has your latest release been received?

Our video for “The Slave or the Owner” is a lot of fun and people think it’s cool and different. Since people have already known the song for a while, it may not have as much hype right now. However, I feel like it just needs to be shown to a few people that didn’t know the band before for it to really take off.

Can you tell us about the meaning behind the track?

It’s about how some people get so preoccupied with their digital life and the image they project that they forget to be actual human beings. The hypocrisy just gets to me, and it fits nicely with a pretty heavy track by our standards.

What venue are you most looking forward to playing the most, and why?

I’d really like us to play at Club Soda again someday. I think that overall it was my favorite venue we played at. We’re way better now than we were 6 years ago, and I’d like to relive that with our current lineup.

What else can we expect from in 2020?

There isn’t much left to 2020 haha. We’re doing quite a bit of stuff behind the scenes for the promoting of “Color of Our Fears” but also writing a lot of new material.
