Single Review: Crystal Tides – ‘Courtney Love’

Crystal tides have not stopped since we last reviewed their single ‘Monday’ and they are back again with another smashing indie-rock bop, you won’t forget.

Having been released on the 6th November, ‘Courtney Love’ has already taken the world by storm with support from Virgin Radio Playlisting, Radio X plays and BBC Intro Solent.

We aren’t saying we called it … but after ‘Monday’s release back in June Crystal Tides became a name we knew we would be hearing again!

With the gritty driving force and soaring chorus, it embodies everything we love about an indie banger! Sparking emotionally charged vocals send off their own distinctive supersonic wave of electricity to light up the single.

It is short, sweet and the pull of the backbeat is irresistible, reverberating off every note and catchy hook. Don’t just take our word for it, although there is a reason they are on Spotify’s Hot New Bands.

Lyrics like “I’m Taking over … Now that I’m a little bit older” are guaranteed to get stuck somewhere in your head and have you humming along all day.

Crystal Tides always do this. They have a cheeky way of worming their way inside your head, playing you your own private gig until before you realise it, you are well and truly hooked.

It is enough to briefly wash away your lockdown blues, getting lost amongst the addictive riffs and deep-set rhythms, picturing yourself in a cramped room jumping along to the band.

The single makes for a scorching anthem, catching the ears and attention of fans and new listeners alike. So check out what all the fuss is about and well keep you posted on what they have in store for us next!
