So how has your latest album/EP gone so far with fans then?
The release of our newest EP —Win Some, Lose None— has been nothing short of outstanding. We’ve been able to release multiple videos that have ultimately helped us leverage the potential of our music. We are continuously receiving weekly emails and fan mail telling us how great the new music is. It’s an amazing feeling to read thoughts of your listeners who have been waiting for new music to drop. We plan to release more music videos by the end of the year and plan LIVE shows in 2021.
Tell us something about the release no one knows?
Fun nerdy fact: When going through the writing process of the new EP, we must’ve all been on the same wavelength. We wrote the entire EP in the key of “C#” for some reason, however, we normally tune to “C”. Later on, we transposed a few songs that you hear today.
If you could work with any band on a new song, who would it be and why?
Any band? Led Zepplin with Jason Bonham on drums. I grew up with them being the icons of rock and roll (and they still are in my opinion) but being in the same room as them would be legendary. Zepplin IV had all the hits from the drum Intro of “Rock and Roll” to the song we ALL know, “Stairway To Heaven” and hoping to be apart of something that magical would be life changing.
Can you tell us about the meaning behind the track?
To start from the top of the EP, ‘Cigarette Lips’ was a song written to showcase our energy with a story of a sour relationship gone south. ‘Work Week’ immediately follows as the second track on the EP with inspiration from our personal lives struggling to pay bills and barley getting by. Third track on the release is ‘Preachers Daughter’ which is our new take on our writing style with cheeky guitar and pop tones to showcase a forbidden love song. ‘American Catastrophe’ is what set the vibe for the release with the heartfelt music video of our attempt of portraying the families struggles don’t out weight love. Last, but certainly not least we close the EP out with ‘Makes Me Sick’, a heavy rendition of a song about a missed opportunity with a high school lover; the one that got away.
What tours do you have coming up, and what can you tell us about them?
With the spread of COVID-19 in the US, we haven’t made plans to travel this year. However, we plan to get back on the road in the year 2021 to hit the locations all over the east coast.
What venue are you most looking forward to playing the most, and why?
The three of us just spoke about how we would love to just be playing any venue. Our last show was in March 2020. We plan on taking the stage digitally for the remainder of this year and continue connecting with our fans and followers virtually.
What else can we expect from in 2020?
We have a few more music videos to release by the end of the year. 2020 has been a great year for us to buckle down and start getting more creative with our visual arts. We plan to drop 3 more videos by the end of the year. There will be an official music video for each song on the EP before the year is over.
