Miss Vincent share new single ‘Vials’

Miss Vincent is made up of four outsiders who want to give underdogs a place to belong and bring the romance back into rock ‘n’ roll. They built the band on a solid foundation of making lasting bonds through group exorcism in tiny, sticky-floored venues. Punk rock has always been a place for weirdos, and it is needed now as much as ever.

Having already caught the attention of Kerrang!, Daniel P Carter’s BBC 1 Rock Show and Rocksound, Miss Vincent just released their cover of Alkaline Trio’s ‘Blue In The Face’ after signing with Silent Cult, and will release their new single ‘VIALS’ Wednesday, 4th November.

Miss Vincent: Waiting to release Vials has been torture. I’ve been so excited since first writing it for people to hear it and I’m glad that moment has finally come. Some songs break away from what people expect from a band, and for us this is that song. So many of my favourite bands and artists are cornerstones and forgotten gems from the original wave of rock’n’roll in the mid to late 50s, and those influences are very present in Vials. We’ve hinted at stuff like that before, but I wanted to write a song that has all the calling cards that made me fall in love with artists like Buddy Holly and Danny and the Juniors, but isn’t a pastiche of kitschy 50s tropes. Also, we’re a punk rock band, so we wanted it to be a big rock song too. All in all, Vials is a sassy, self assured clap back at everyone who’s ever done you wrong – a song to walk away to (with your head held high). It brings together all our influences in equal measure for the first time, and is one of the songs of which I’m proudest.

VIALS is out on 4th November via Silent Cult
